Kindle Fire Review

Last Christmas it was coming down to the wire and I had yet to get my wife a Christmas present. The year prior I had gotten her a CD full of cooking recipes which immediately caused her vagina to close shop for 3 months……but dinners were amazing. I knew I had to step up my game, so I did some research and  found that the Kindle Fire would fulfill her needs. Plus, it was just over $200 which happens to be the monetary threshold for getting laid. I was excited but nervous. I had heard some not so great reviews about the Kindle and I wasn’t sure if my purchase was a bad decision. It ended up being one of my wife’s favorite gifts ever.

Now if you are an “Apple lover”, stop reading right now. The review I am about to give may cause you to scream, cry, dry heave, shake a baby, question your sexuality, or vote for Obama.  But lets face it…if you are an Apple lover you are probably too busy sitting at Starbucks jerking off to the sound of Siri reading the audiobook version of Steve Jobs' Biography. I have no intention of comparing the Kindle to the iPad…as far as I am concerned they are two completely different products and price ranges.

I really, really like the Kindle Fire as a low cost tablet. It has been great for my wife. She uses it every day for reading, surfing the internet, listening to music, preparing her church lessons, entertaining kids, and taking notes. We have had it now for 9 months, and it still works great. As a reader, it has proven worth its weight in Gold. My wife has read dozens of books on it already.  The 7 inch screen is big enough to see just about every URL while still being compact enough to fit in a small purse or suit jacket pocket.  We have watched full length Netflix movies on it without any problems.  Every
once and a while the screen freezes and it has to be restarted, but these instances are few and far between. She has even loaded the CD of cooking recipes!

For a $200 dollar tablet, the Kindle Fire is a great buy. I would buy it again in a heartbeat…in fact; I am probably buying one for my daughter this coming Christmas.  4 stars!
